Jermaine Jackson

Mr Jermaine Jackson is a founding member of The Jackson 5, the Founding Principal of Jackson Family Legacy Investments LLC, and the senior steward of the family’s commercial and cultural legacy. Born in Gary, Indiana, he rose to international standing with The Jackson 5, whose recording career began at Motown in 1968. He is the elder brother of the late Michael Jackson.

Jackson Family Legacy Investments LLC is the private holding institution within which Jackson Oil & Gas is constituted. Mr Jackson founded it to bring the family’s commercial and cultural interests under a single roof, and to provide for their orderly stewardship across generations.

He is engaged on matters of strategic direction and on the cultural dimensions of the group’s wider work. The day-to-day conduct of Jackson Oil & Gas is the responsibility of its Chief Executive, Dr Louis Niang.

Dr Louis Niang

Dr Louis Niang serves as Chief Executive of Jackson Oil & Gas and as the executive principal of the commercial arm of the Jackson Family Legacy group.

He has been a participant in the international oil and gas business for thirty-seven years. His career began in the late nineteen-eighties and has carried him across the major energy corridors of the Middle East, Africa and the United States, in roles spanning upstream engagement, refined product trade, infrastructure financing and cross-border physical commerce.

He has built relationships across the producing centres of the Arabian Gulf, the trading and refining hubs of the Mediterranean and Atlantic basins, and the upstream and downstream institutions of West and East Africa, and has worked extensively with national oil companies, refiners, sovereign partners and the trading affiliates of established merchant houses.

He directs the day-to-day operation of the commercial arm and its dealings with counterparties, banks and inspection partners. He is known to counterparties for the quiet manner of his execution, a fastidious attention to counterparty quality and an insistence on commercial probity.
